I David Shankland of sd County, hous Carpenter, being sick and weak in body but of a
Sound Mind and memory Thanks be to God for the Same and Caling to Mind The mortality of my body and the Nesesity of a will to help Pease and Unity Amongst heirs do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament and first I Recomend my Sole to God that Gave it me in and through the merits of Jesus Christ and my body I Desier may be buried in a Desent maner which I leave to the Discresion of my Exeitors hearafter to be mentioned and as to such worly Estate as it hath Pleased God to indow me with all I Dispose of in the way and Manner following to wit

Itim I give to my wife Sarah Shankland one bed and furniture one Looking Glass she
brought with her and one large red Chest one Lume and Gears and one Set of Silver tea Spoons Likewise one Cou and Calf and five head of Sheep to her and her heirs for Ever---

Itim I Leave to my wife Sarah Shankland the Use of all the Lands I own in Indian River
hundred as her Dower in my Estate the hous to be Covered out of my Estate

Itim I Give to my Son Joseph Shankland one bed and furniture one Desk and Looking
Glass that hangs over it one Cow and Calf Likewise one Large Dining table

Itim I Give to my sd Son all the Lands I own in Rehoboth hundred with the improvements
thereon Likewise one Negro boy Caled Hannobel and the mare we now Ride to him and his hears for Ever

Itim I Give to my Grand Darter Elisabeth Shankland one Dresing table and my Looking
Glass I shave with to her and her heirs for Ever

Itim I Desier that the Land I own in Indian River hundred after the Death of my wife may
be Sold and the Price Devided between my two Sons John Shankland and David Shankland or their heirs for Ever

Itim My will and Desier is that after my just Debts and funeral Charges be fully
Discharged and paid that the Remander of my Estate be Devided the one third to my wife Sarah Shankland and the ( ) to my Son Joseph Shankland agreable to the Inventory that Shall or may be made

Lastly I do heirby nominate Constitute and appoint my wife Sarah Shankland and my Son
Joseph Shankland my whole and Sole Executors to this my Last will and testament Revoking all others by me heirtofore maid

In testimoney whereof I have heirunto Set my hand and Seil this twenty first of June in the
Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and nine--
